  • Responsibilities

    We’re looking for a User Experience (UX) Designer with a strong understanding of user research practices and Human Computer Interaction (HCI). You have no issues conducting user research and exploring the behaviors and motivations of our users. You work well within cross functional teams to understand and develop new features. You're a champion of the user at all stages of the product’s life cycle. You thrive in a fast-paced work environment with strong self-direction and independent problem-solving skills then we're looking forward to speaking with you. Your thorough understanding of contemporary user-centered design methods will aid team members throughout the organization. You will be supplying insights to them during all stages of the design cycle to better understand the users and user’s problem space. Most importantly, your job is to champion the user’s experience to become more intuitive, accessible, fun—and even magical.


    What to expect

    • Conduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences.
    • Conducting, analyzing and reporting on user-centered research and usability studies.
    • Have an eagerness to collaborate with designers, product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to prioritize research opportunities.
    • You’ll advocate research findings to various cross functional teams and stakeholders through written reports and oral presentations.
    • Work with our development and product teams to assess and optimize new and existing features
    • Work with the UX team to design the UI architecture, interface, and interaction flow of new web and mobile applications
    • Aide with design of conceptual diagrams, wireframes
    • Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications
    • Present design work to the user experience team, product team, engineering team, executives, and external partners for review and feedback


    • BA/BS degree in Anthropology, Human Factors, Psychology, HCI/Computer Science or other related fields or equivalent practical experience.
    • 2+ years of work experience in a HCI/UX position.
    • Experience conducting semi-structured interviews, contextual field visits, usability studies either live or remote.

    Required Skills:

    • 2+ years’ experience in user experience designer with a focus on user research
    • Fluency in best practices for web-based information architecture and design
    • Strong practical knowledge of user-centered design methodologies and usability principles
    • Proficiency in a variety of design tools such as OmniGraffle and Sketch/Invision.
    • An available online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating great user-centered design solutions
    • Demonstrated understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during the product development process.
    • Effective interpersonal, communication, negotiation and collaboration skills.


     Other Desired Skills:

    • Experience designing user experiences for mobile. Demonstrated passion for mobile, apps or development environments.
    • The ability to prototype in HTML/CSS and JavaScript
