• Director of Business Development - TransCEND/VDR

    TransPerfect is the leading provider of web-based applications that enable companies to host and share data in a secure environment. TransPerfect provides digital document exchanges to over 10.000 professionals from more than 1,000 organizations worldwide. TransPerfect is seeking Directors of Business Development as it expands its Enterprise sales organization. The Director of Business Development will be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships while identifying, pursuing and closing sales for TransPerfect’s entire suite of services.  The individual should have experience in consultative sales with an emphasis on Software as a Service (SaaS) sales or consulting directly to industry firms and corporations.




    • Manage and lead regional business development activities to drive new revenue
    • Create effective approaches to closing new business
    • Develop an effective understanding of the capabilities, benefits, and competitive advantages of TransPerfect TransCEND’s services
    • In coordination with Sales Management, identify, qualify, develop, and close sales opportunities
    • Identify prospective leads; develop new client relationships via cold calling, internet research, networking events, trade shows and direct marketing
    • Promote TransPerfect TransCEND by educating clients on the company’s various services
    • Present TransPerfect TransCEND’s solutions via one-on-one, group, online and in-person meetings.
    • Manage and control pricing and contractual issues by developing a thorough understanding of company procedures


    Required Qualifications:           

    • Minimum Bachelor's degree
    • Excellent English communication (written and verbal) skills 
    • At least 5 years of experience in enterprise software sales
    • Experience selling content/document collaboration & management or security applications
    • Proven sales life cycle experience - lead generation through business closing
    • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and exceeding quotas
    • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
    • Strong social selling skills
    • Effective time management skills
    • Demonstrated ability to work within a global team


    Desired Qualifications: 

    • Experience selling into highly regulated industries such as financial, legal and pharmaceutical
    • Experience selling cloud based solutions and Software as a Service (SaaS) applications
    • Proven track record of successfully prospecting and closing deals greater than $250,000.
    • Established capabilities managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
    • Fluent in the usage of
