  • Responsibilities


    The position of Patent Operations Associate is responsible for overseeing patent-related activities in Europe. He/she will provide training to Production and Sales, and provide support as needed to increase revenue and maximize efficiency and productivity. This is a great position for someone eager to develop a long-term career in Patent Operations and rapidly advance to management positions.





    • Train Production members on foreign patent prosecution (EP Validation, Direct Filing, and PCT National Phase)


    • Assist Production and Sales in understanding client requirements, legal requirements, and job scope


    • Work closely with project managers, overseeing patent translation and filing jobs from start to finish


    • Maintain a high level of understanding of the patent filing requirements in various countries as well as the specific needs of each client, especially as they relate to translation requirements


    • Assist with the sales cycle specific to the patent translation and filing process


    • Assist with business development efforts including attending client meetings and conferences


    • Contribute to the growth of existing client business


    • Contribute to patent training materials and information database


    • Create accurate project quotes in an efficient manner





    Qualifications and Required skills
    • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree


    • Expertise with foreign patent filing procedures


    • 3-5 years professional experience in legal industry


    • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment


    • Strong client management skills and consultative abilities


    • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills


    • Outstanding relationship building skills





    Desired Skills
    • Paralegal Experience


    • Expertise in the IP localization industry


    • Client service experience in the legal/business services/translation space
