Regional Director, Business Development



The position of Regional Director, Business Development reports directly to the VP of Technology Sales.  The RDBD is responsible for carrying out new business development efforts, implementing sales strategy within specified regions, ensuring achievement of regional revenue goals, and overseeing daily management of sales staff.


  • Responsible for developing new business relationships and serving as the first level of support to existing clients
  • Act as primary contact for all clients within a prescribed territory
  • Ability to improve efficiency of the office, as well as proactively strategize with senior management to further improve profitability of technology solutions
  • Train and manage sales staff to be effective Account Managers, Account Executives, and Directors of Business Development
  • Call on c-level executives to sell solutions such as GlobalLink and OneLink
  • Attend and coordinate Trade Shows, Conferences, Events, and Functions relating to the industry in order to develop contacts and leads 
  • Utilize social skills and standing to best represent in order to make a positive impression on prospective clients
  • Complete all aspects of the sales cycle (proposal through closure of sales)
  • Contribute to the growth of existing client business
  • Maintain and update sales progress reports according to agreed timeframes
  • Work closely with Solutions Engineers, Project Managers and the Professional Services to deliver complete solution for the client and improve workflo


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5-7 years successful localization software sales experience
  • Proven track record in hunting new business and supporting an existing client base
  • Ability to achieve and exceed targets while working under pressure
  • Ability to manage and develop a team
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management
  • Superior management skills
