  • Responsibilities

    The position of Project Coordinator is a junior role within the production team. The position has the exposure to all elements of project management and will handle projects independently after the completion of PM training.


    • Be responsible for the entire life-cycle on all projects assigned to him/her: oversee all aspects of project coordination (scheduling and management of all data, personnel and resources) from hand-off through project completion, to ensure on-time, on-budget, and quality delivery
    • Juggle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
    • Understand and abide by individual project instructions
    • Comply with all ISO regulations, processes and procedures
    • Cooperate with Quality personnel to ensure that the translation perfectly complies with instructions and is linguistically ideal
    • Liaise with Sales Staff to clarify and correct project parameters
    • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with contract translators and proofreaders globally
    • Negotiate rates and deadlines with contract translators and in-house translators to maximize profitability and efficiency
    • Effectively manage contract and full-time linguists
    • Impose sanctions in a timely fashion on linguists as appropriate when a poor or untimely product is returned
    • Bill projects within 24 hours of completion and comply with all regulations and processes
    • Coordinate with Sales Staff to educate clients regarding individual projects – potentially contacting clients directly
    • Return final products to Sales Staff early or on-time consistently
    • Communicate any issues/problems/caveats or additional information to Sales Staff as soon as that information is available
    • Trouble-shoot projects’ problem
    • Investigate client complaints
    • Discuss issues with clients and Sales Staff and creatively problem solve to alleviate issues
    • Perform quality checks at various stages of process to ensure quality and accuracy (proofreading, final eye, communication with linguists and client reviewers on specific linguistic issues)
    • Complete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for your role and assigned by your manager/supervisor


    • Minimum Bachelor’s degree 
    • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills in English
    • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
    • Experience coordinating projects and assignment of resources a plus
    • Effective time management
