Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the overall linguistic quality program for all languages on the accounts
  • Develop, implement and maintain a quality plan in accordance with client requirements research and deploy methods to improve quality and knowledge retention and management
  • Put corrective actions in place where service falls short of expectations
  • Provide input on management of existing linguistic assets (glossaries, style guides, TMs, etc.), processes and related issues
  • Customize client instructions or create instructions from scratch, as necessary, to ensure that translation teams are clear on process methodology, translation technology and deliverables
  • Establish query management workflow
  • Manage data on quality and vendor performance, produce statistical quality reports and create related documentation
  • Analyze quality issues and determine further actions through RCAs (Root Cause Analyses). Define and approve corrective action plans to resolve quality issues

 

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, other languages would be an asset
  • University Degree (preferably in linguistic/translation related studies)
  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience in a similar position in corporate environment
  • Detail orientation with the ability to multitask
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Independence in carrying out assigned tasks
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly-developed computer skills (MS Office, Windows)
