  • Responsibilities

    Directly impacts all aspects of TransPerfect’s ISO 9001 and EN 15038 certified quality management system worldwide. The QA Director maintains, establishes and develops Quality Assurance programs, policies, processes and procedures ensuring quality performance of products and services by performing duties and responsibilities personally or through staff members.


    • Take ownership of the Global QMS for TransPerfect and its family of companies
    • Manage QA Directors, QA Managers and the teams reporting to them
    • Track and report on company-wide quality metrics
    • Monitor all Corrective Action Forms, Preventive Action Forms, Positive Feedback Forms, and client feedback
    • Investigate Corrective Action Forms to identify root cause and effective corrective and preventive actions, liaising directly with linguists and TransPerfect employees
    • Review, evaluate, and report to Department Managers and Senior Management on supplier, subcontractor and staff member performance worldwide
    • Actively review documents pertaining to the Quality Management System and its continual improvement
    • Create, document, implement, and evaluate internal quality assurance program in order to maintain accreditation
    • Conduct internal audits and report findings to Senior Management
    • Develop new procedures to foster TQM and develop current QMS
    • Review documents and SOPs pertaining to the Quality Management System and control them
    • Implement, monitor, evaluate and develop quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure quality of language solutions on a Worldwide level
    • Train personnel to ensure that quality standards are followed
    • Participate in client, registrar, and vendor audits
    • Actively maintain colleagues’ awareness of QA processes, policies, procedures and knowledge by acting as a resource
    • Investigate specific customer complaints or adverse experiences and operational problems to identify root cause and effective corrective and preventive actions
    • Prepare technical quality reports and presentations as required
    • Act as Management Representative, as outlined in the Quality Manual


    • 5 or more years experience managing projects and/or staff
    • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
    • Strong MS Office/computer skills
    • Experience in ISO 9001
    • Experience in EN 15038
    • Internal quality auditing training or experience
    • Ability to create and implement new procedures, with the relevant documentation
    • Ability to maintain and update vast amount of data accurately
    • Excellent English communication (written and verbal) skills
    • Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills in order to meet commitments and deadlines
    • Excellent problem solving skills
    • Ability to maintain professionalism in all situations

    Desired Experience/Skills:

    • Experience in ISO 27001, ISO 13485, EN 15838
    • Experience in Six Sigma and other quality standards
    • Fluency in a foreign language
