  • Responsibilities

    Translations.com is seeking an experienced software globalization professional to help expand our service offerings across the organization and client base.  This is a cross-functional role that works closely with both sales teams to help close sales opportunities and production teams to ensure the proper execution of software internationalization, localization and testing engagements.

    The position of Software Globalization Consultant will also be responsible for partnering with both sales and production teams to expand the overall software testing and QA business.  This candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to constantly changing priorities and parameters.

    Sales Support:      

    • Provide presales support as subject-matter expert on internationalization (i18n), localization and testing over both phone and onsite meetings with potential customers
    • Train sales team to effectively sell i18n, testing and QA services
    • Work with sales team to understand customer requirements and craft strategic proposals for complex engagements
    • Continually develop and expand i18n, testing and QA service offerings based on ever-changing industry demands and customer needs

    Operational Support:

    • Develop processes and best practices related to i18n and testing to be followed by all Translations.com production centers
    • Train and onboard production centers in accordance with best practices
    • Evaluate testing practices on an ongoing basis, identify potential areas for improvement and implement process improvements
    • Work with vendor management team to develop recruitment, assessment and onboarding strategy for freelance testers

    Qualifications

    • Minimum Bachelor's degree or its equivalent
    • 7- 10 years of experience in the localization industry, with expertise in i18n, testing and QA
    • Extensive knowledge of software globalization best practices
    • Experience building and leading a technical team
    • Experience with process development and training
    • Experience with agile methodologies; localization in an agile environment
    • Experience or basic understanding of test automation
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Technical knowledge:
      • Test Management Systems such as Test Rail, Testlink, HPQC, DOORS
      • Bug tracking Systems such as Jira, Mantis, Bugzilla, TestTrackPro
      • Hockey, VMware, Test Flight, etc.
      • Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android
