• Multimedia Account Manager

  • Responsibilities

    The position of Account Manager is responsible for developing new business relationships and serving as the first level of support to existing clients.  


    • Be responsible for the entire life-cycle on all projects assigned to him/her: oversee all aspects of project coordination (scoping, quoting, launching and management of all data, personnel and departments involved) from hand-off through project completion, to ensure on-time, on-budget, and quality delivery:
      • Pre-production: Pre-flight of audio and video projects. Review audio and video files. Vendor selection and prepare quote for client. Launch the project. Provide concise and effective project instructions to all necessary parties
      • Production: All aspects of the recording and audio engineering processes, including set-up, file prep and conversion, phone patch function, slating, takes, pick-ups/re-records.  Monitor recording sessions to ensure instructions are being followed and provide feedback. Communicate effectively with production colleagues, engineers, talents and clients during sessions
      • Post-production: Audio/video editing and quality checks. Client delivery. Billing. ISO feedback
    • Bill projects completely and accurately within 24 hours of project completion, complying with all appropriate regulations and processes
    • Liaise with clients, sales staff and production departments to clarify project parameters
    • Effectively liaise with other departments that are essential parts of project workflow (for instance, Quality Managers, Desktop Publishing, etc.) to ensure that the translation perfectly complies with instructions and is linguistically ideal
    • Negotiate rates and deadlines with clients to maximize profitability, efficency and project completion speed
    • Use Computer Assisted Translation tools whenever possible to maximize consistency and profitability
    • Use appropriate reference materials/glossaries as needed to maximize consistency and quality
    • Impose sanctions in a timely fashion on linguists as appropriate when a poor or untimely product is returned / File Corrective Action Forms as needed for substandard work performed and work with QA to impose appropriate financial sanctions in those cases
    • Complete a thorough and accurate Final Ear to look for mistakes in audio and video files prior to delivering projects
    • Return final products to Sales Staff early or on-time consistently
    • Investigate/resolve client complaints, problem solve and work with QA/Management to ensure that appropriate systemic changes are implemented to ensure that any problems that occurred cannot be repeated
    • Communicate any issues/problems/caveats or additional information to clients/ sales staff/ production colleagues as soon as that information is available
    • Juggle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
    • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with clients, sales staff and production colleagues worldwide
    • Serve as a single point of contact / accountability for the projects being handled
    • Comply with all ISO regulations, processes and procedures
    • Make recommendations to your manager on ways to improve any processes



    • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
    • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
    • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Effective time management
